Spam

Do you know the proportion of emails that are spam?  A report by Softscan has the answer.

In December, the figure was a staggering 97.03%, a new high.  That means that only 3% of all emails sent (or at least “scanned”) were legitmate.

In contrast, viruses accounted for just 0.11% of emails.

Curiously, I’m fairly sure that the number of spam emails arriving at my personal email account has gone down in the last couple of months.
